We survived our crazy rehearsal-recital-birthday-rainy day yesterday...and we had fun too. S did a great job at her dance recital but is glad this season is over. I hope the (not so great) experience she had from this dance studio doesn't ruin all the better experiences she may have with another (better) studio. But we'll see.
H's carnival birthday party was a success. The kids (and parents) all ate too many sweets and pizza and enjoyed playing all the fun little games. My little nephew who is just older than H told me "This is a really fun party Lauren." #ohyoujustmademydaykiddo. H and S were so busy playing games with there friends they forgot they were exhausted from our already long and busy day. And as everything was wrapping up the bearded man gave me the look that said "way to go us, we did it (all of it). [insert mental high five here.]"
Then today we went to church (late, I might add) and came home to lasagna that Chris was so wonderful to remember to prepare. Then we snuggled up on the couch, watched Willow, and it was perfect. I really hate busy days but they sure do make me appreciate days like today where we can just chill and take a mental and physical breather ["Ahhhh"].
The bearded man and I. Oh, I love him so. |
S and her "bestie" dominated the three legged race. |
The best thing I ever did was bring you here. Love you H. Happy 4th Birthday. |
