We live on a river. When I say we live "on" a river what I mean is, if we were to build our deck out about ten more feet we would be hanging over the edge. Ya. On on.
My husband bought this beautiful river house before we met and had no thought of being married and had even less thought of kids in his near future. So the thought of the river, or the journey down to I,t being dangerous for children to play by outside never crossed his mind. Ha ha. But then, less than a year later, guess who came along to turn his world upside down. Yes, we three.
But, since the girls and I have moved in it's been really great actually. We never have our eyes off the girls but they're really good when we're back there and the deck doesn't have stairs so we can sit on the deck and enjoy the river and wood life without stress. And now that it's hot and the river's low we've been taking the girls out, hooking the tube up to the neighbors zip line and letting the girls have some adventures in their little "boat".
It's great getting to watch them swim and float around with the fish and find cool bugs. So thanks husband for doing something I would have never done. Thanks for buying the river house.
